Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan opposses man made climate change theory

Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has chosen as his Vice Presidential running mate Representative Paul Ryan from Wisconsin.  Ryan is totally opposed to the discredited man made climate change theory.  He has accused climate scientists of "intentionally misleading the public on climate change"( P Gosselin notrickszone.com  11 August 2012) In 2009 writing in JournalTimes.com on 9 December he said
" the CRU(climate research unit at the University of East Anglia) e-mail scandal reveals a perversion of the scientific method, where data was manipulated to support a predetermined conclusion.   The e-mail scandal has not only forced the resignation of a number of discredited scientists, but it also marks a major step back on the need to preserve the integrity of the scientific community.  While interests on both sides of the issue will debate the relevance of the manipulated or otherwise omitted data, these revelations undermine confidence in the scientific data driving the climate change debate"
Professor Fred Singer Professor emeritus at the University of Virginia and Director of the Science and Environment Policy Project.  He is the founding director of the US Weather Satellite service.
Referring to the climate situation he refers to RepresentativeRyan as the polar opposite of former VP Candidate Al Gore.  He says that climate scientific back up for Ryan can be supplied.   In particular he notes that while there has been an increase in temperature over the past 250 years as the earth recovers from the Little Ice Age, the warming reported from surface stations since about 1980 is not matched by observations of atmospheric temperatures, ocean temperatures, or so called proxies(temperatures derived from tree rings, lake sediments, stalagmites, corals, ice cores etc.    There is evidence for fluctuations produced by atmosphere-ocean oscillations and accumulating evidence for the subtle influences of the sun on the climate.

Note: there is plenty of recent evidence of the deliberate manipulation of temperature data from ground based weather stations from the Hadley Centre land centres Crutem 4 data.( previous posts)
