First ever image of a black hole

Just announced.  the event horizon telescope consisting of 8 ground based radio astronomical telescopes in six different countries has just revealed the first ever photograph of a black hole in M87 a massive galaxy 55 million light years away. The mass of the black hole is that of 6.5 billion suns.   Nothing gets out of a black hole because of its massive gravity.  Even light does not get out.   the image was a result of radiation co-ordination from the eight telescopes worldwide.   Radio telescopes in countries such as Chile, Mexico, Spain, Antarctica.   The black hole in M87 is a result of a collapsing giant star which has collapsed to a point known as a singularity.
