Denmark abandoning Wind Power!

Rasmus Petersen the Danish energy minister says Denmark is abandoning wind power.  This is due to the astronomical high costs of wind power.  According to the Jyllands-Posten the minister said "I am unhappy that the price of power from the Anholt offshore wind farm is so high.  I think paying 1.05kroner per kilowatt-hour(KWH) is too much".   The current market price for electricity is DKK0.25.   This means that the Anholt offshore wind farm is costing companies and Danish electricity consumers 1.3 billion DKK in green electricity charges annually!.    The minister told Jyllands-Posten that he is ready to drop the two large scale offshore wind turbine projects Horns Rev 3 and Krieger`s Flak with a total capacity of 1000MW.   In comparision the Anholt offshore wind farm  has a capacity of 400 MW and is the largest Danish offshore wind farm.   (Report by P Gosselin in notrickszone(www.notrickszone.com).
